Netizens were left stunned after a video of former Liverpool midfielder Fabinho receiving a Rolex watch by a fan after his debut for Al-Itthad surfaced. The Brazilian international, who joined Al-Itthad from Liverpool last month for £40 million, partnered N’Golo Kante in midfield as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side picked up an easy 3-0 win against Al-Raed.
After the full-time whistle, Fabinho was heading towards the exit when he was stopped by a fan. Then, much to Fabinho’s surprise, the supporter placed a Rolex watch on his wrist.
Fans on social media were left shocked after seeing such gesture.
“We can’t compete with Saudi”, one user tweeted.
“Insane!”, other Twitter user reacted.
While the 29-year-old was happily surprised after receiving the expensive watch, it fell to the ground as he walked away after it hadn’t been secured properly.

The Saudi League champions Al-Ittihad broke the deadlock after Karim Benzema assisted Abderrazak Hamdallah in the 58th minute.
Igor Coronado then scored twice in the space of four minutes as Al-Ittihad registered comfortable win.
Speaking to Saudi broadcaster SSC Channel after the game, Fabinho said: “We were stronger in the first half and managed to control the tempo of the game despite the scorching weather. While we didn’t create numerous chances, we were clearly dominant in the second half, scoring three goals. We could have scored more, but what mattered most was our control and rhythm throughout the match.”
Al-Ittihad will next be seen in action on Saturday against Al-Ta’ee.
