The partnership between FIFA and EA Sports has been exclusive for over three decades and recently EA Sports has shed some light in renewing their naming rights in the game. It looks like things didn’t turn out so well and FIFA aims to enhance the football eSports domain by collaborating with multiple gaming studios. FIFA is likely to end its exclusive partnership with EA.

FIFA and EA Sports Partnership Ends: Recently a statement was released which said, “FIFA is bullish and excited about the future in gaming and esports for football, and it is clear that this needs to be a space that is occupied by more than one party controlling all rights”. FIFA aims to increase its reach to the gaming and esports portfolio. EA sports used to be the only franchise to own the branding of FIFA and has played a vital role to their success. FIFA stated “The future of gaming and esports for football stakeholders must involve more than one party controlling and exploiting all rights”.
