Shadab Khan had an ordinary outing with the ball but the Pakistan all-rounder had a brilliant moment on the field as he took a stunning catch to dimiss Shardul Thakur.
The stunning catching skills were on display in the 45th over as Nassem Shah bowled a quick length ball into the leg-side. Shardul, who was eyeing a big hit on the leg side, closed his bat-face early and got a leading edge due to which the ball went in the air. Shadab, who was at point, ran back and dove with outstretched hands to take a superb grab.
Shadab Khan couldn’t provide much support with the ball as he went for 57 runs in 9 overs. However, the Men in Green still managed to get back in the game and bundle out India for 266. Shaheen Shah Afridi was the star for Pakistan as he picked up 4/35 in his 10 overs.
Hardik Pandya & Ishan Kishan rescue India
After opting to bat, India were in a spot of bother as they lost the top 4 with just 66 onboard. However, 138-run parnership between Hardik (87) and Kishan (82) brought them back in the game. However, Kishan’s wicket gave Pakistan an opening as they picked up next 5 wickets for 62 runs.
While Shaheen picked 4 wickets, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf grabbed 3 wickets each to set up a 267-run chase for the hosts.
