The Indian Cricket Team continues their Asia Cup 2023 training camp in Alur. While the players enjoyed a break on Sunday but took an active part in team meetings and Dexa tests. But the attention was on KL Rahul who is en route to regain 100% fitness. The Indian cricket team is set to depart for Sri Lanka on Tuesday, 29th August.
KL Rahul who had a hamstring surgery is recovering and returning to full fitness. Despite undergoing some grueling keeping practice sessions, the 31-year-old complained of some distress and is already ruled out of the India vs Pakistan clash. However, reports claim that the team and the medical unit are satisfied with KL Rahul’s improvement.
After a break on Sunday, KL will undergo more keeping practices on Monday, a day prior to the team’s departure to Sri Lanka where the Men in Blue will kick start their Asia Cup 2023 campaign against Pakistan in Kandy.

On the other hand, Shreyas Iyer has also recovered well from his back injury. But Rahul who is keen to make his return to International cricket after a long span of 3 months will be ready in time to keep for India in the latter part of the tournament.
BCCI Selection Chairman Ajit Agarkar previously made it clear that Rahul will miss the IND vs PAK clash with a small niggle and therefore in his place Ishan Kishan will be stationed behind the stumps. India also has backup with the likes of Sanju Samson as a travelling reserve. But with Rahul making steady progress, he should likely be fit for the Nepal game.
Jasprit Bumrah and other cricketers who were a part of the India vs Ireland T20I series will join the camp on Monday and undergo some match practice sessions before flying off to Sri Lanka on Tuesday, i.e 29th August.
