Ranji Trophy: Arjun Tendulkar finally comes good with bat, slams fifty vs Chandigarh

Ranji Trophy: Arjun Tendulkar has been far from impressive so far, having bagged 14 wickets in eight first-class matches, and scoring 244 runs overall.

Ever since the Ranji Trophy started earlier this month, there has been a lot of interest surrounding Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun’s performance, who is a fast-bowling all-rounder, and plies his trade for Goa. The 24-year-old Arjun did not start his campaign well this year, as he could only score 21 runs in the first match against Tripura, and got only two wickets, but in the second clash against Chandigarh, he seems to be making the amends.

The lower-order batsman showed glimpses of what he can achieve with the bat, as he went on to score a quick-fire fifth against the opposition, as runs came at a rapid pace for Goa. After opener Suyash Prabhudessai scored 197, Tendulkar scored a fifty, and stitched a partnership of over 100 with Deepraj Gaonkar.

While the third session was on, Tendulkar had scored 57 in 63 balls, with five fours and three sixes. Meanwhile, this is only his second fifty plus score, with the first one coming for Goa last year (120).

As far as team Goa is concerned, they did not start the Ranji Trophy 2024 well, as they lost to Tripura by a massive 237 runs.
