Khaleel Khursheed Ahmed’s cricketing journey began with his Twenty20 debut for Rajasthan during the 2016–17 Inter State Twenty-20 Tournament on February 5, 2017. Prior to this milestone, he had represented India in the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. His introduction to first-class cricket came with Rajasthan in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on October 6, 2017.
In January 2018, Sunrisers Hyderabad secured his services in the 2018 IPL auction, acquiring him for Rs. 3 crores. Continuing his progression, Khaleel made his List A debut for Rajasthan in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy on February 5, 2018. His journey in the IPL saw another turn in February 2022 when the Delhi Capitals purchased him in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament.
