Punjab Kings will have some growing concerns as captain Mayank Agarwal continues to struggle with form in the ongoing IPL 2022. In their four games this season, Agarwal has failed to lead from the front, falling early in the powerplay inviting pressure on the other batsmen.
Agarwal started with a sedate 32 in the season opener against RCB, but has followed it up with three single-digit scores as pressure continues to mount on the Punjab Kings captain. Agarwal has been a consistent 450+ runs scorer for Punjab over the last couple of seasons, but the burden of captaincy seems to have weighed heavy on the Indian opener.
