The ODI World Cup 2023 ticket sales for three India matches in Dharamsala, Lucknow, and Mumbai got sold out within minutes on Friday. The ticket sales for India vs England, India vs New Zealand, and India vs Sri Lanka, commenced in different phases on September 1 September 1. The tickets were quickly sold out on the BookMyShow platform which left fans frustrated. Notably, this is not the first time that the Indian cricket fans have been left disappointed with ticket booking.
On Thursday, the World Cup 2023 ticket sales for other three venues – Chennai, Pune, and Delhi – got sold out within few minutes.
The frustration was palpable as fans took to social media platforms to express their anger on BCCI and BookMyShow.

The non-availablity of tickets is not the only issue the fans have been facing on the BookMyShow lately. Earlier, the Indian fans faced many technical difficulties while booking tickets. The official website was crashing frequently, leading to missed opportunities for many, as the limited window for securing tickets closed.

The ticket sales for India’s Bengaluru and Kolkata matches will begin on Saturday (September 2) at 8 PM IST. The World Cup 2023 ticket sales for Team India matches will conclude on September 3 with Ahmedabad game tickets.

- Click on the venue of your choice under ‘Find matches by venue.’
- Select the specific match you wish to purchase World Cup tickets for.
- Click on the ‘Book’ option displayed on the screen.
- A login prompt will appear, allowing you to log in if you have an account.
- Choose the number of seats you require.
- Pick the desired seating area for which you want to buy tickets.
- Click on the ‘Book’ button.
- Provide the pincode for the home delivery of the tickets.
