Father of Pakistani cricket team captain Babar Azam, Azam Siddique, has denied rumors circulating on social media that his son is set to tie the knot after the ODI World Cup 2023. The rumors gained momentum after a social media fan page shared the news on Twitter, proclaiming, “Babar Azam is set to marry in November after the World Cup.”
However, Babar Azam’s father debunked the rumors. Talking to Cricket Pakistan, he clarified that there was no urgency for his son’s marriage and confirmed that Babar’s current focus remained on cricket.
Babar’s management company, Saya Corporation, also rubbished the wedding rumours via post on Twitter, which the Pakistan captain also reposted.
“The earth-shattering news of Kaptaan Babar Azam’s wedding in November is completely fake. In fact, this is a ‘news’ for even him and his family. Kindly avoid sharing the unverified news. Thank you”, the company tweeted.
Babar Azam is currently in Sri Lanka for the Lanka Premier League 2023. The 28-year-old in an interview said that he is playing in LPL 2023 to prepare for the World Cup 2023.
